Before The Interview
Make sure you think about every aspect of the interview in advance, including travel to the interview and your presentation:
Ensure you have all the information you require to attend and prepare for the interview.
Your S&G Consultant will ensure that you have received the following:
Client name, address, map/directions and company website
Interviewer(s) name(s) and their position(s) held
Details of the position applied for – job title, job spec, salary information, hours of work etc.
Plan your route in advance and allow plenty of time in case of delays, traffic or misdirection. If necessary do a "test" run.
A first impression is a lasting one. Generally appearance should be professional and we recommend a suit/business dress with minimal jewellery and accessories; however, ask your S&G Consultant for advice as clients vary in their dress codes. Think about every aspect of your presentation, down to the colour of your nail varnish, the polish on your shoes and the overcoat you wear. Be comfortable and be yourself, but remember that first impressions count and you don’t want to stand out for the wrong reason.
